This experiment was conducted to evaluate the effects of different concentrations of Ulva flexuosa Wulfen seaweed (endemic of Persian Gulf) and Shirazi thyme extracts on postharvest characteristics of Washington Navel orange under cold storage for 60 days (the qualitative characteristics were evaluated with 15 days interval). The results indicated that fruit weight loss, fruit decay, TSS (total soluble solids) content increased and juice %, titratable acid and ascorbic acid contents decreased at the end of storage period. Postharvest quality of Washington Navel fruits significantly improved when fruits were immersed in seaweed and Shirazi thyme extracts. On the other hand, seaweed extract was more effective in improving these characteristics of orange compared to Shirazi thyme. At the end of storage time, the most effective treatment was 0.94 g/l of seaweed extract, so that the maximum reduction in percentage of fruit decay was observed in this concentration. Also the highest (35.49) fruit juice percentage and the least (3.26%) weight loss were obtained in the concentration of 3.75 g/l of seaweed extract. Therefore, the results of this study showed that seaweed extract could be used as an active bioactive compound to improve qualitative postharvest characteristics of orange fruits.}, keywords = {Fruit postharvest quality,seaweed extract,Shirazi thyme,Washington Navel orange}, title_fa = {اثر عصارۀ جلبک دریایی اولوا فلکسوزا (Ulva flexuosa Wulfen) و آویشن شیرازی بر ویژگی‌های کیفی پرتقال واشنگتن ناول در مدت انبارداری}, abstract_fa = {در سال‌های اخیر استفاده از مواد زیستی به‌منظور بهبود ویژگی‌های کیفی محصولات باغی موردتوجه پژوهشگران قرار گرفته است. لذا در این پژوهش اثر عصارۀ جلبک دریایی Ulva Flexuosa Wulfen و آویشن شیرازی بر برخی از ویژگی‌های کیفی پس از برداشت پرتقال واشنگتن ناول در شرایط نگهداری در انبارسرد به مدت 60 روز انجام شد (ویژگی‌های کیفی با فواصل 15 روز یک بار موردارزیابی قرار گرفت). نتایج به‌دست‌آمده نشان داد که در پایان زمان انبارمانی در روز 60ام درصد کاهش وزن، درصد پوسیدگی، درصد مواد جامد محلول کل، افزایش و در مقابل درصد آب‌میوه، اسیدیتۀ قابل تیتراسیون و میزان اسید اسکوربیک کاهش یافت. کاربرد عصارۀ جلبک و آویشن شیرازی باعث بهبود ویژگی‌های کیفی پرتقال شد. عصارۀ جلبک دریایی در مقایسه با عصارۀ آویشن شیرازی در بهبود ویژگی‌های یادشده مؤثرتر بود. نتایج نشان داد در اغلب صفات ارزیابی‌شده مؤثرترین تیمار، کاربرد 94/0 گرم در لیتر عصارۀ جلبک دریایی بود به‌طوری‌که، بیشترین کاهش درصد پوسیدگی در این غلظت مشاهده شد. همچنین بیشترین (35/49) درصد آب‌میوه و کمترین (3/26) درصد کاهش وزن در تیمار عصارۀ‌ جلبک 3/75 گرم در لیتر به‌دست آمد. نتایج این پژوهش نشان داد که عصارۀ جلبک دریایی می‌تواند به‌عنوان یک ترکیب زیستی برای بهبود کیفیت پس از برداشت میوۀ پرتقال استفاده شود.}, keywords_fa = {آویشن شیرازی,پرتقال واشنگتن ناول,عصارۀ جلبک دریایی,کیفیت پس از برداشت}, url = {https://journals.rifst.ac.ir/article_93262.html}, eprint = {https://journals.rifst.ac.ir/article_93262_2fdf00298bfc0638fd5df67a907b79d1.pdf} }
